All is very well here, Mor Helga is going well at 84.

Next week we will be back on Linquenda in Epinal France , to start the trip  to the Netherlands.

Summer in Europe 2016

Summer begins

First blog for the season.
Had a wonderful 12 days in Denmark catching up with family and friends. Arrived to 6 degrees, rain and wind. Within 4 hours the sun was out, it had warmed up and it remained like that for next 12 days.

Inside Town Hall, Rathus

Holstentor seen from the other side, or what is called field side, meaning if there was going to be an attack this is what the attackers would see first . Yes your eyes don't deceive you, there is a distinct lean to it. Built on swampy ground, with wooden foundations it took some time to get it built, adjustments being made along the way. Foundations now completely fixed and building going nowhere in a hurry.
